Allen D. Adams was born on October 29, 1942, and passed away on March 4th, leaving behind loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.
Allen—known to many as Dee—began his life in Riverside, California. As a toddler, he moved with his family to Selah, Washington, where he grew up and built many lifelong connections. After graduating from Selah High School, Dee chose a path of service to his country.
In 1963, he joined the United States Navy, serving proudly as a AEW operator on the Airborne Early Warning Squadron. After completing four years of honorable service, he returned home and worked as a carpenter alongside his father and brother on numerous construction projects. He later began a long career with The Boeing Company, working as a Functional Tech Mechanic until his retirement.
Dee had a lifelong passion for classic cars. Over the years, he owned many cherished vehicles and loved attending car shows, proudly displaying his cars and spending time with the many friends who shared his enthusiasm. His car-show community brought him joy, friendship, and lasting memories.
In 2017, Dee was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. His wife, Connie, lovingly cared for him at home until he moved to the Walla Walla Veterans Home in 2023. He received compassionate care there until his passing.
Dee was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar (Joe) and Edna Adams; his brother, James Adams; and his sister, Nona Brummett.
He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Adams; his son, Jeff Adams (Cindy); his daughter, Holly McIntosh; and his sister, Diana Nole. He was the grandfather of Bridget Adams, Devin Adams, Ava McIntosh, and great-grandfather to Tucker, Braxton, Jordon, Bella, Korbin, Gracie, Easton, and Zadie.
Per his request, there will be no service.
“Rest easy Dee—may there always be sunshine, good friends, and a line of classics waiting for you at the next car show.”
