Allen Kriedeman, 89, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Born on October 11, 1936, in Shawano, Wisconsin, Allen lived a life marked by dedication to his craft, deep family ties, and a love for the outdoors.
Allen began his professional journey with Joern’s Furniture, where he served for ten years as head of wood engineering. His expertise and passion for design led him and his wife Sharon to establish their own business, Kriedeman’s Interiors, in 1977. There, Allen applied his talents as a designer of commercial case goods and residential cabinets, leaving a lasting impression through his craftsmanship and commitment to quality.
He shared 66 devoted years of marriage with his wife Sharon (Carlson), building not only a business but also a loving family together. Allen is survived by their children: daughter Kimberly Kobishop and her husband Richard; daughter Leslie Kriedeman; and son Steven with his wife Andrea Barge. He was a proud grandfather to Angela Erdenberger (Chad), Adam Jakusz (Rhea), Jason Kobishop, and Dr. Lexi Kobishop. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Sophie and Mason Erdenberger, and Oliver and Colter Jakusz.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents Milford and Anna (Chiakowski); sister Shirley and her husband Jim Jensen; brothers Gary and Ken with Ken’s wife Betty; as well as his in-laws Raymond and Doris Carlson.
An active outdoorsman throughout his life, Allen found joy in nature’s beauty and the peace it offered. His appreciation for the outdoors reflected the same care and attention he brought to every aspect of his life—from woodworking to family gatherings.
Allen's memory will be cherished by all who knew him. May his life continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
