Alvia Olen Robertson, affectionately known as Al, passed away on March 16, 2026, in Howell, Michigan, at the age of 82. Born on July 7, 1943, in Bethany, Missouri, The story goes that when he was 20 years old a car he owned was stolen. He followed to get his car back and wound up in Michigan and stayed . Al lived a life marked by dedication to his work, family, and adventurous pursuits.
Al's career showcased his exceptional hands-on skills and tireless work ethic. He worked as a small engine repairman, owned , operated and managed a junkyard, and served as a mechanic at local golf courses. His practical expertise and unwavering commitment to his craft left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
Outside of work, Al embraced life with enthusiasm and a love for adventure. He participated in demolition derbies and enjoyed riding motorcycles—activities that reflected his spirited nature and zest for life. He enjoyed building things from Legos and going bowling with his wife Rose.
Al is survived by his beloved wife, Rose (Watters) Robertson; his children Vincent (Heidi) Robertson and Lee Annette Robertson; his grandchildren Hailey (Matthew) Rebecca, Jared Robertson, and Christine (Daniel) Gall; and his great-granddaughter Penelope Gall. He is also fondly remembered by eight sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Al also left behind two half brothers and three half sisters.
Al was preceded in death by his parents Olen R. and Phyllis ; and his sisters Sharon and Marsha.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life get together will be at a later date.
