Amado Pargas, Jr. passed away March 12, 2026 in Oregon City, OR.

Amado is survived by his wife, Paula M. Pargas and his children: Sharon Pargas, Amado Chris Pargas, wife Tamie, M.A.P., J. Kim Tilander, husband Rocky, Dominic Pargas and wife Gloria. His daughter, Sandra Pargas, preceded him in death. Grandchildren: Joshua Pargas and wife Erin, Daniel Vlieland and wife Julie Bleick, Jacob Pargas, Amelia Hatfield and husband Colin, Kristen Wheeler, Russell Vlieland, Nicholas Wheeler and wife Ryann, Dominique Pargas and Gabriella Pargas; Great Grandchildren: Millie, Jaxon, Dodger, Maverick, Castin, Hayden, Cadin, Calvin, Kilee, Ezekiel and Dean.

Amado served in the U.S. Navy and retired from the Albuquerque Fire Department after 26 years of service. Amado was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. His love for the outdoors has been passed down to his children and their children and their children. He loved God, family and friends. He will be forever missed with blessed assurance that he is forever in Heaven.

Funeral Service will be held as follows: April 13, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 309 Stover Ave SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. Begin time: 10:00am (Rosary), 10:30-11:30am (Mass). Burial will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102, at 12:30 PM. Reception at 2:00pm back at Sacred Heart Church.
