Amalia Zaragoza, 92 years of age, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, with family at her bedside. She was born to the late Pedro and Maria Garcia on April 11, 1933, in Sacramento, CA, and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Jose Zaragoza.

Amalia is survived by 4 children: Randy Zaragoza (Michele); Elizabeth Brodie (Matt); Suzie Zaragoza; and stepson Joe Zaragoza (Cheryl); grandchildren Megan Wright (Jeremy); Rossi Zaragoza; Lance Brodie (Sarina); Zachary Zaragoza (Marisol); Miles Brodie (Brett Holland); step grandchildren Teesa Zaragoza; Michelle Millard (Jason); Michael Zaragoza (Jessica); Brandon Zaragoza; and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

One of nine children, Amalia was preceded in death by brothers Raul Garcia, Peter Garcia, Gilbert Garcia and Ernie Garcia. She is survived by sisters Dora Acosta, Bertha Visentin, Lydia Crowell and Rebecca Rosenberger.

A mother and homemaker her adult life, Amalia worked part-time as a preschool teacher's aide and at Campbell Soup cannery. Her volunteer work included polling place attendant at Stockton Fire Dept. station #2, Victory School PTA, and Girl Scouts. She loved cooking, sewing, listening to music, dancing, and was also a Cathedral of the Annunciation parishioner. Amalia's passing leaves many wonderful, cherished memories.

Family also wishes to acknowledge the loving care provided by Wailea Care in her last year of life.

A rosary for Amalia will occur on Monday, March 23rd, at 5:30 PM, at Casa Bonita Mortuary, 2500 Cemetery Lane, Stockton. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 24th, at 11:30 AM, at the Cathedral of the Annunciation, 400 W. Rose St., Stockton.
