Ana Teresa Perez, 65, passed away with her family surrounding her. She is survived by her son, Julio, and daughter, Martha. Born in Havana, Cuba, she carried her Cuban roots with pride throughout her life.
In her early thirties, Ana came to the United States in search of opportunity and built her life in Miami, where she had her children. She moved to Port Charlotte, Florida when her children were young, and remained there for the rest of her life. Her family was her greatest joy, and her proudest accomplishment.
Ana also had a special love for animals, and she cherished the many pets she cared for over the years.
She will be remembered for her strength, devotion, and the deep love she had for her family. She will be dearly missed.

Her children will be honoring her life privately.
