Analie Chavez Paredes, a beloved wife, mother, nurse, and cherished friend to many, passed away peacefully at her home on March 4, 2021 at 10:36 a.m. surrounded by loved ones. She was 50 years old.
Analie’s courageous battle with cancer began in 2018. She faced every challenge with extraordinary grace and unwavering faith. Even after undergoing major surgery, she returned home within days and was back to work in less than three months, determined to continue serving the patients and helping support the colleagues she loved.
In the years that followed, Analie endured multiple surgeries and treatments as the cancer metastasized, yet she never lost her spirit. She remained hopeful, steadfast, and deeply connected to her loved ones, making time each day to connect with her family members and her many best friends from all over the world. Regardless of what she was going through, her priority was always being available as a source of comfort, guidance, and love to anyone who needed it.
Analie was well known for her compassion, resilience, and unwavering devotion to others. Her life’s work—both personally and professionally—was rooted in caring for people, lifting them up, and offering comfort in their most vulnerable moments.
Analie was a respected and deeply loved member of the Highland Hospital community, serving as a charge nurse in the Labor and Delivery Department. Her colleagues remember her as dependable, nurturing, and endlessly giving. Her warm smile, cheerful presence, and instinctive kindness made her a source of comfort for countless families welcoming new life into the world.
Her husband, Jovan, and her daughters, Carmela and Mikee, were the center of her world. She treasured every moment spent with them, finding joy in simple days at home and in the love they shared. Everything she did was to provide them with the best life possible, and she always reminded them that her greatest accomplishment was the family and life her and Jovan built.
To her loved ones, Analie was a guiding light—“an angel on earth”—someone who taught them how to live fully, to love deeply, to face challenges fearlessly, and to dream endlessly. To all who knew her, she was a steady presence of joy and strength.
Her legacy—one of selflessness, generosity, and unconditional love—will continue to live on in every life she touched.
