Andrew "Ton" Sehring Hill

March 29, 1974 - December 1, 2025

Andrew didn't just arrive—he exploded into this world on March 29, 1974, in Danbury, Connecticut, the fifth son of Tyler and Kathy Hill. From the very beginning Andrew carried energy that could fill a house, a street, or an entire city block.

Raised in Brookfield, CT, Andrew attended Brookfield High School and played football for the Bobcats. But school was just a small chapter in his life that would become far louder, bigger, and far more unforgettable.

By the early '90s, Andrew—now going by "Ton"—dived headfirst into the New York City hip-hop scene. He became a familiar face in the culture he loved, navigating clubs and showcases as he promoted the scene. Always pumped up and ready to go he brought enthusiasm to everything he was involved with. In one of his favorite stories, Ton found himself on stage with The Notorious B.I.G., a moment that perfectly captured his ability to live life right in the center of the action.

Service was another defining part of Andrew's journey. He volunteered with both the Brookfield and Danbury Fire Departments, always ready to show up, step up, and help. After the tragic events of 9/11, Andrew was part of the cleanup efforts at Ground Zero—a role he carried out with quiet pride and deep respect.

Andrew had a rare and remarkable gift: he could turn even the simplest moment into something magnetic. A mundane memory became a gripping tale; an ordinary event became a must-hearstory. He didn't just tell stories, he brought them to life with humor, color, and an unmistakable flair that made people lean in and listen.

Eventually, Andrew made his way to Florida, where he was embraced by the Tampa/St. Pete hip-hop community. As part of "Culture Shock", a group that preserves the spirit of '80s and '90s hip hop. During this time, he built friendships with members of "Digital Underground", including the late Shock G, who's iconic "Humpty Dance" remained Andrew's all-time favorite track.

Even as declining health slowed him down, Andrew never stopped giving. He continued mentoring young people, offering guidance, encouragement, and the kind of straight talk they needed. In a powerful and almost poetic twist, one of the young man he mentored began Army Airborne School this month, perhaps a launching point that felt like Andrew giving one last push forward.

Above all, Andrew loved his family with a fierce, unapologetic devotion. He bragged about every one of them—constantly, loudly, and with pride that sometimes-made people laugh but always made them feel loved. And in his final years, he found the love of his life, his fiancée Darlene, who stood by him, loved him deeply, and was by his side as he left this world.

Andrew was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy. He is survived by his fiancée, Darlene; his father, Tyler Hill of Spring Hill; his brothers Greg (Cheryl), Stephen (Cam), Terence (Paula), and T.J.; and several nieces and nephews and a wide circle of cousins who will forever carry his stories, his laughter, and his legacy.

Andrew "Ton" Hill lived boldly, loved fiercely, and left behind a trail of unforgettable moments—stories that will continue to be told, retold, and celebrated for years to come.
