Andrew (Andy) Scalzitti passed away peacefully at his home in Rolling Meadows, IL at the age of 94 on November 13, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Raised in Chicago by Italian immigrant parents Andrew and Edwina (Falcione) Scalzitti. Andy served in the Army during the Korean War, worked at Zenith Electronics for most of his career and helped start Precision Screw Products, Inc. in his retirement with his daughter and son-in-law. Andy devoted his life to caring and supporting his family. He had a passion for music, especially the trumpet which he played throughout his entire lifetime until he had to finally give it up at 86 years old. Andy was well liked by everyone that knew him. He will be remembered for his witty sense of humor and love of the Chicago Bears.
He was the beloved husband for 61 years of the late Barbara L. Scalzitti; loving father of Anthony (Kara) Scalzitti and the late Andrea (Joe) Pausa; grandfather of Amanda (Dan) Tanzillo, Kaylea (Greg Cocchiola) Scalzitti, Joey Pausa, Christoph Scalzitti, Alina Scalzitti; great grandfather of Anthony Pausa and brother in law of David (Deborah) Huntsman, the late Jean (Bill Cundiff) Huntsman and the late Rev. Edward Huntsman; dear great uncle of Jason (Lauren) Huntsman, Matthew Huntsman and Timothy Huntsman. A funeral mass will be held at on Sat. Jan 10 at 11am at St. Cecilia Church, 700 S. Meier Road, Mt. Prospect, IL. Following the service, a Celebration of Life will be held at Trezeros Italian Kitchen 302 W Northwest Hwy, Mt Prospect, IL. All family and friends are invited to attend and share memories of Andy.
