Andrew R. Tyson died peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at the age of 73. He was the proud father of Lindsay Tyson (Jonathan Rogers), Allison Tyson, and Grant Tyson, loving grandfather of Luke Rogers Tyson and Owen Rogers Tyson, and lifetime best friend of Pamela Carson.
Andrew Tyson was born and raised in the Philadelphia area. He graduated from Bucknell University in 1974, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, majored in accounting, and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was licensed as a CPA and moved to the Cleveland area in 1991, taking a position at KeyCorp heading the Corporate Development department as Executive Vice President. Mr. Tyson retired in 2012 and spent his time traveling, golfing, and sailing. He also was an avid runner for much of his adult life and was proud of his training and completion of the Philadelphia marathon in four hours even. He was a volunteer and board member at the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad for ten years and a frequent volunteer at the Cleveland Food Bank.
His family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in his name to the Cleveland Food Bank or the American National Red Cross. His family will host a private celebration of life at a later date.
