Angela Louise "Angie" Brinkman, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on January 29, 2026, in Seven Bays, WA, leaving a void her family cannot fill. She was 88 years old.

Born on August 23, 1937, in Emmetsburg, Iowa, Angie was the daughter of Lambert and Mathilda Zimmer. She grew up on a farm in Fairmont, MN, where her early years were shaped by her strong Catholic faith and close-knit family. She attended St. John Vianney Catholic Grade School and graduated from Fairmont High School.

It was in Fairmont where she met and married the love of her life, Joseph "Joe" Brinkman. They met in 1951 while Angie was working at the local diner where Joe would often frequent for lunch while working at a nearby service station. They dated for 4 years while Angie finished high school, and were married on September 1st, 1955.

Angie and Joe built a life centered around faith, family and community. Together, they selflessly raised five children - Bob (Jean) Brinkman, Cheri Brinkman (deceased 2024), Glenn Brinkman, Dave Brinkman and Chanelle (Rob) Haines - with unwavering dedication. Angie's deep commitment to Catholic education was evident in the way she and Joe ensured all five of their children attended Catholic school from first through eighth grade while they lived in Burien, WA. Angie's nurturing and gentle spirit and legacy lives on through her six grandchildren - Donna Brinkman, Chris Brinkman, Danielle Brinkman, Michelle Brinkman, Brian (Jessica) Shore and Andrea (Jordan) Rayburn; as well as through her 4 great-grandchildren - Layla Brinkman, Elizabeth Shore, Allyson Rayburn and Eleanor Rayburn. Angie and Joe celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this past September - an exceptionally rare and momentous achievement, symbolizing seven decades of enduring love, companionship, family and faith.

A woman of many talents and interests, Angie loved to read. She also found joy in sewing, crocheting, and crafting of all kinds - she generously shared her creations with those around her. She also enjoyed bowling, gardening, cross country skiing with friends in the winter, boating in the summer at Crescent Bar and Lake Roosevelt, and traveling. Angie and Joe spent many years traveling all over the country in their Piper Cherokee airplane. They often packed up the entire family to fly back to Minnesota/Iowa/Wisconsin and also Mesa, AZ, for family vacations with all of their extended family.

In addition to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Angie is also survived by her sisters - Bonnie Larson and Mary Jo (Chuck) Neusch; brother-in-law Dennison (Carolyn) Brinkman; and numerous nieces and nephews whose lives were touched by her warmth; as well as many friends and other extended family members who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents Lambert & Mathilda Zimmer, daughter (Cheri Brinkman), and siblings Darlene (Harlan) Askeland, Jack (Nelda) Zimmer, Marlys (Bob) Warman, Junior (Carol) Zimmer, Sally (John) Keough, and Jerry (Connie) Zimmer.

Angie's legacy is one of steadfast faith, enduring love for family, creative spirit and quiet strength. She was a beautiful soul, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1310 Adams St, Davenport, Washington, with a reception following.
A family Burial Service will be held on Thursday, February 19th, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Gethsemane Catholic Cemetery, 37600 Pacific Hwy S, Federal Way, Washington.

May Angela's steadfast faith, tender heart, and loving spirit continue to inspire those who knew her.
