Angela Gustaveson Wills, age 60, passed away on December 9, 2025, and leaves behind a legacy of compassion, creativity, and quiet strength.
Born on November 12, 1965, in Miami, Arizona, Angela grew up in Safford, where she graduated from high school before continuing her education at the University of Arizona in Tucson. From an early age, she was known for her loving heart and her deep concern for others—especially those in need. This care extended first and foremost to her family, as Angela was always a steady source of protection, guidance, and unwavering support for her younger sister throughout their lives.
Angela had a lifelong love for animals, particularly cats, and her compassion extended to all creatures great and small. At one time, she shared her life with two beloved pit bulls, Rip and Tear, who were part of her family. Later, she and her husband David devoted time to helping feral cats through a catch-and-release program, working to ensure animals were spayed and neutered and treated with care.
Art and movement were central to Angela's spirit. She began playing the flute in the fourth grade, but it was dance that truly became her escape. Ballet was her passion, and during high school she helped teach dance at the Safford Dance Academy. One of her most cherished moments was performing as the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, a role that reflected both her grace and dedication. Angela also competed in scholarship pageants to help fund her college education and was crowned Miss Tucson 1985, along with holding several other titles during that time.
In 1995, Angela married the love of her life, David Wills, and together they made their home in Sierra Vista. They worked side by side at Jim's Glass and Mirror, a business David inherited, until illness changed the course of their lives in 2017. From that moment on, Angela became David's devoted primary caregiver, rearranging her life and career so she could remain close and be there whenever he needed her. Her care was an expression of her love—steadfast, selfless, and unwavering.
Angela is survived by her husband David; her sister Paula Harris (James); her adored nephew AJ; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her father, Kurt; mother, Joyce; and brothers, Eric and Kris.
Angela will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to family, her love of animals, and the gentle grace she brought into the lives of everyone who knew her. Her memory will live on in the countless hearts she touched.
