Angeline Marie "Honey" (Abruzzese) Meyers
92 years of age and resident of Whitehall, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Born on March 31, 1933 in West Bangor, PA, she was the youngest of 14 children born to Pasquale Gilbert and Philomena (Malpiedo) Abruzzese.
Angie was preceded in death by her husband Terry G. Meyers, whom she met and worked together as dance instructors at Arthur Murray Dance Studio from 1957-1958. Angie also worked for The Bethlehem Steel Corp., and retired from the Teamster Local Union 773 in 1994 after 23 years of service. In her retirement, she worked many years in the registration office of the Allentown Fair.
Angie was a devoted and faithful woman with a loving and kind spirit. There was nothing more important to her in this world than her faith, family and friends. Angie's second home was in Zephyrhills, Florida where she loved to spend the winter months with her husband and friends. Angie was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Allentown.
She was predeceased by a daughter Doreen Marie (Meyers) Ortiz as well as three sisters, seven brothers and two infants
Honey is survived by her son Dwayne T. Meyers with wife KimAnn (Greb) Meyers; grandson Jacob T. Meyers with wife Meghan (Paradise) Meyers and their expected blessing due in January; grandsons Gavin D. Meyers, Nicholas R. Ortiz and granddaughter Ashley M. Ortiz; three great grandchildren; son-in-law Pedro R. Ortiz; along with several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services will held on Saturday December 6, 2025 at 10:00 am in the Gilbert Funeral Home 444 Pershing Blvd. Whitehall, PA 18052, located 1 block south of the Fullerton Ave. exit of Route 22, where her family will receive guests beginning at 9:00 am. Interment will be Private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in loving memory of Angie to The Christian Fund of Grace United Church of Christ 623 Cleveland Street, Allentown, Pennsylvania 18103
