Anita Louise (Beamer) Macdonald

Anita Macdonald 89, of Las Vegas, NV passed away on November 24, 2025 surrounded by friends and family at Las Ventanas at Summerlin.

She lived a full life. Born in Colorado Springs, CO to parents Forrest and Louise Beamer. Granniemac (as she was more affectionately known) had 4 children (Craig, Ken, Chris (wife Rosemary), and Katy) and 7 grandchildren (Christina, Miley, Jake, Aleks, Tucker, Michael, and Breton)
Anita is preceded in death by her second husband, Dr. Vance Macdonald (d. 2017), and her first husband, John Erlanger (d. 2019)
Granniemac attended and graduated from Ottawa Highschool (Grand Rapids, MI) then graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in nursing.

Anita had a passion for learning and traveling, which she did extensively with Vance, in their many journeys around the world, visiting remote locations that span 7 continents. She also possessed a unique and creative talent for celebrating life’s many milestones with her attention to detail and party planning; she was the queen of sending cards and notes offering her best wishes for all occasions, never forgetting! Anita had a long and caring career as a nurse, working in many hospitals and later in practice with Vance as a Neurosurgical Scrub Nurse. Fun fact: Anita, John (Anita’s first husband), and Vance (Anita’s second husband) all attended the University of Michigan, even though they each grew up in different areas of the country (USA).

Services will be held on January 18th @ 12 Noon at St. Andrew Lutheran Church – 8901 Del Webb Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89134
Following will be a celebration of life from 1pm to 4pm at Angel Park Golf - 100 S Rampart Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89145
