Anita Sue (Suzi) Adams-Parker peacefully passed into the comfort of her Lord at the age of 73 on January 28th 2026, while surrounded by family after a bravely fought battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Born in Memphis, Texas on August 16th, 1952, Suzi was the second of three children born to Herb and Nita Adams, along with her older brother Larry and younger sister Theresa (Teri.) She was a loving and dedicated sister, mother, grandmother, and aunt. Her family was her life.

After moving to Colorado Springs in the mid 50s, the family attended Central Church of Christ, and later Pikes Peak Avenue Church of Christ. After graduating from Wasson High School, she attended York College for two years and proceeded to finish her degree in physical education at Lubbock Christian College. Suzi loved to sing and cherished her days with the York College Chorus. After college she returned to Colorado and began attending Eastside Church of Christ.

After a brief tenure in teaching, Suzi gave birth to her only child, Adam Parker in Colorado Springs, in July of 1985. Suzi worked extremely hard to provide for their small family, leaning on her parents to help take care of Adam; a blessing she sought the rest of her life to replicate.

A gifted typist, Suzi spent time working for the Investigations Division of the El Paso County Sheriffs' Department but found her passion as a radiology transcriptionist at UC Health where she worked for over 20 years as a beloved team member.

Suzi was able to honor her parents' memory after Adam and his wife Kenna gave birth to their first child, Teagan, in 2016, and later to Ainsley in 2018. Suzi gave Adam and Kenna no choice but to take care of her grandkids while they worked, just as her parents did for her. Her love for her grandchildren was unmatched.

Her care for others continued even after her passing as she was able to gift to the Donor Alliance in Denver, saving multiple lives.

Suzi was preceded in death by her parents, Herb and Nita Adams. She is survived by her son Adam (Kenna) Parker of Colorado Springs and her two grandchildren Teagan and Ainsley Parker.
Also surviving Suzi are her brother, Larry (Donna) Adams of Monument, CO; sister Teri Adams-Fjellman (Jon) of Colorado Springs; Nephews Ben (Shelby) Adams of Oakland, CA, Dan Adams of Colorado Springs, and Kelsey (Brittany) Fjellman of Colorado Springs, Nieces Keely Fjellman and Kaurie Fjellman of Colorado Springs; and two great nephews that she adored, Logan and Jameson Fjellman of Colorado Springs.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1pm on February 7th at Eastside Church of Christ in Colorado Springs. For those unable to attend there will be a live stream available at https://eastsidesprings.com/live-stream/

In lieu of flowers, Suzi asked that donations be made to Dr. Solomon, National Jewish Health, 1400 Jackson St, Denver, CO 80206 to support research in pulmonary fibrosis.
