Ann Chapin Bothwell, 76, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025, in Kingston, Washington. Born on November 8, 1949, in Yakima, Washington, Ann lived a life marked by service, creativity, and deep compassion for others.

A proud graduate of Bellevue High School in 1968, Ann continued her education at Central Washington University. Her commitment to service led her to join the United States Army, where she served with distinction both in Germany and at the Presidio in Monterey, California. Throughout her military career, Ann earned numerous accolades and medals in recognition of her dedication and excellence. She retired from active duty in 1990.

Following her retirement from the Army, Ann dedicated herself to helping others through extensive volunteer work. She taught English through VISTA in Southern California and gave generously of her time to organizations such as Al-Olympics. She also volunteered with Acton and Warm Springs Rehabilitation under the direction of Ms. Lynne Dahl. Her selfless contributions left a lasting impact on countless lives.

Ann was a woman of many talents and passions. A gifted amateur photographer and artist, she found joy in arts and crafts—particularly woodworking and wood turning. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her enthusiasm for hiking, camping, and RVing. A devoted dog lover, Ann's gentle spirit extended to all creatures great and small.

Her Christian faith was a guiding force throughout her life. She lived by its values daily—sharing kindness, integrity, and generosity with everyone she met. Those who knew Ann remember her as a bright light whose laughter brought joy and whose wisdom offered comfort.

Ann is survived by her beloved wife Linda Bothwell; her sisters Susie Sather (husband Tom) and Joan Sample (husband Rob). She was preceded in death by Bob Bothwell and Betty Bothwell.

Ann's legacy is one of unwavering integrity, heartfelt generosity, and boundless love for family and friends. May her memory bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
