1939 - 2026

Anna Lee Rapport Langman (“Ann”), 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026. Born in Dover, Ohio, on July 13, 1939, Ann was the daughter of Polish immigrants Larry Rapport and Doris Brody. She grew up in New Philadelphia, Ohio, and graduated from New Philadelphia High School. While attending The Ohio State University, Ann began her family and later moved to Charlotte in 1967. She quickly became a passionate ambassador for the city as a leading real estate professional. Her distinguished career spanned more than 50 years, during which she was a top agent with Carras Realty, Harrington Dowd Realty, and Allen Tate Realtors.

Deeply devoted to both her city and her faith, Ann was an active leader in countless Jewish organizations and causes. She was a proud member of Temple Israel since 1967 and served as President of Sisterhood. She was on the Board of Hadassah, served as President of the local B’nai B’rith Women’s Chapter and later as a member of the B’nai B’rith District 5 Board. Ann co-founded the Charlotte Jewish News and served as its full-time editor for more than a decade. She also held a seat on the Board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte.

Ann was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She cherished time with her loved ones and took great pride in sharing her family’s accomplishments with her many friends. She is survived by her four children, Judy Hollowell of Atlanta, Steve Langman (Wendy) of New York, Lynn Gleiberman (Robert) of Pittsburgh, and James Langman (Isabelle) of Puerto Varas, Chile; eight beloved grandchildren, Michael Morey, Jessica Langman (Ross Lovern), Edgar Langman, Emma Langman, Margot Langman, Brigitte Langman, Lauren Gleiberman, and Daniel Gleiberman; great-grandchild, August Lovern; and her sisters, Dolores (Neil) Cantor and Sharon (Sid) Rosenbaum.

The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, in the Chapel of the Hebrew Cemetery of Charlotte. The family will receive friends following the service at The Cypress of Charlotte, Villa D Social Room (3738 Cypress Club Drive).
