Anna Best

Anna “Nana” Best, a beloved resident of Powder Springs, Georgia, passed away peacefully at 75 on August 6, 2025. Known for her deep love, joyful service and radiant presence, Anna shared her life with her devoted husband, Gary Best Sr., and their loving family.

Anna’s talents in communication, administration, and creativity enriched her work in churches and her volunteer efforts locally at WellStar Cobb Hospital and representing WellStar Cobb on the Council for Volunteer Services for Georgia Healthcare. She approached every role with grace, humor, and a genuine desire to uplift others.

Family was the heart of Ann’s world. She is survived by her children; Missy Davis (Matt and their son Bryan), Cyndi Gomez (Johnny and children Zachary and Katelyn), and Gary Best Jr. (Melissa and their children Jacob, Andrew, and Michael). Each carries forward her kindness, strength and creative spark.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 6th at 1pm ET at St. Benedict Episcopal Church, 2160 Cooper Lake Road SE, Smyrna, GA 30080.
