Anna Bernice Sedlacek

Anna Sedlacek, age 95, of Edmond, OK, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025.

Born on February 27, 1930, in Willowdale, Kansas, she was the daughter of William "Bill" and Philomena "Minnie" Hageman and the fifth of eleven children. From an early age, she embraced a life of service, compassion, and dedication to others.

She built a long and meaningful career as a head surgical nurse, where her steady hands and gentle spirit comforted countless patients and families. Her deep commitment to helping others extended far beyond her workplace; for more than a decade, she traveled to Peru on medical mission trips, offering care, comfort, and kindness to communities in need.

A woman of great discipline and routine, she walked two miles every day and spent much of her free time surrounded by friends or participating in activities at the senior center. Her faith was central to her life. She was a longtime member of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, where she volunteered at the Peru House and contributed to parish life in many meaningful ways.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Miran Sedlacek, Sr.; her brothers Ralph, Edward, Paul, and Raymond; and her sisters Delores, Theresa, and Victoria.

She is survived by her stepson, Miran Sedlacek and his wife LuAnn; her grandchildren, Anthony Sedlacek and Lisa Sedlacek-Ewers and her husband Phil; her sister, Sister Marie; her brother Anthony Hageman and his wife Judy; and her brother Norman Hageman and his wife Linda.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on January 17, 2026, at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 S Broadway St., Edmond, OK 73034

Her legacy of faith, strength, and compassion will be carried on by all who loved her.
