Annamma J. Samuel, 78, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2026, in Lovettsville, Virginia. Born on January 9, 1948, in Kottayam, Kerala, India, she lived a life marked by strong Christian faith, devotion to family and extended family, and care for others.

Annamma was the eldest daughter of Pastor P.K. Chacko and Annamma Chacko of Manarcad, Kottayam. Raised in the India Pentecostal Church—where her father served as a pastor and eventually president—she was nurtured from an early age in a home rooted deeply in Christian faith and ministry. Her spiritual foundation would remain central throughout her life.

After marrying Jefreys K. Samuel, Annamma immigrated to the United States. Jefreys had recently completed his Master of Theology at Seattle Pacific College (now Seattle Pacific University), following his undergraduate studies at Eugene Bible College. He had accepted a position at Sperry-Rand, and together they began their life in America with shared purpose and vision.

Settling into their new life, Annamma and Jefreys raised two daughters—Latha and Leena—with love and dedication. The family became active members of Church By The Side Of The Road, where Jefreys also served for decades as an elder. Together they helped found the India Christian Fellowship, a cross-denominational fellowship of Christian believers that continues to this day. Jefreys and Annamma were active members of the Gideons International, an organization devoted to printing and distribution of Bibles in the United States and around the world.

Professionally, Annamma worked for many years as an accountant until her retirement around 2001. She was known for her diligence and integrity in her work. Beyond her career accomplishments, she was known by all to be a strong mother and grandmother, and for her unwavering devotion to Jesus.

Annamma's legacy lives on through her daughters Latha (Daniel) Brubaker and Leena (David) Hill; granddaughters Rivka Brubaker, Avigail Brubaker, Elizabeth Brubaker, and Naomi Hill; and sisters Lily Punnoose and Sali (Joseph) Abraham. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Jefreys K. Samuel, who went to be with the Lord in January 2015.

A woman of deep conviction and quiet strength, Annamma touched many lives through her kindness, wisdom, and enduring faith. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her.
