Anne Lynn Day (Kenny), age 81, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Friday, January 30, 2026, surrounded by those she loved most.
Affectionately known as Anne Lynn by her family, she grew up in Saginaw, Michigan, and graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1962. She married Don Day in 1966. She raised three children in Freeland, Michigan. Anne Lynn was deeply committed to her children's future and took great pride in ensuring all three earned college degrees.
She worked for many years at Michigan Bell/Ameritech. A lifelong reader, Anne Lynn, instilled a love of books and learning in her children; many cherished days were spent wandering the stacks of the Zauel Library together.
Anne Lynn was a fierce and unwavering advocate for those she loved. If you were in her life, you knew without question that she was always in your corner. Remarkably selfless, she ensured her family never went without, even during times when money was tight. She was an extraordinary mother and grandmother, and her love and generosity shaped everyone fortunate enough to know her.
The world is a little less bright without her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazen and Mary Kenny; her brother and sister, Patrick Kenny and Joan Abbott; and her son-in-law, Christian Kopacsi. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Erica) Day, Jennifer (Ron) Wood, and Joey Kopacsi; her seven grandchildren—Riley, Jack, and Mallory Day, and Kyle, Brady, Parker, and Harper Wood; and her beloved niece, Wendy Buse, who held a very special place in her heart.
