Anthony Joseph Enos, 72, passed away on December 29, 2025, in Arizona City, Arizona. Born on September 11, 1953, in Reno, Nevada, Anthony—known to many as Tony—lived a life marked by service, adventure, and unwavering faith.

From an early age, Tony demonstrated a strong work ethic and technical aptitude. He began his career working alongside his father in their family television repair shop before opening his own. His professional journey took him from the oil fields of Abilene, Texas—where he worked as a roughneck—to the airwaves as a licensed radio operator. He also volunteered as a firefighter during this time, reflecting his deep commitment to helping others.

Tony later found his calling on the open road as a commercial truck driver. Holding a Hazmat license and traveling extensively across all 50 states and into Canada, He did this profession for over 21 years and never got a single ticket in his life time as a commercial truck driver. Tony embraced the freedom and responsibility of life behind the wheel until his medical retirement. His travels were not just about miles logged but about experiences gained and people met along the way.

At age 17, Tony answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. Assigned to the Suttner ship due to his ability to understand Russian, he played a critical role in monitoring communications and reporting intelligence to his commanders. His service included both technical duties and time spent on land operations. He was honorably discharged after fulfilling his duties with distinction.

Tony's faith was central throughout his life. While living in Abilene, Texas, he was deeply involved with his Baptist church community, particularly in managing sound equipment for services. Later in life, after moving to Portland, Tennessee with his wife Candy, he became active in their local Methodist church. Church remained a cornerstone of his life—a place where he sought spiritual growth and community connection.

In addition to his religious devotion, Tony pursued personal growth through Freemasonry 3rd degree, Lodge #46 in Eloy, later in life. He valued integrity and moral growth, strength and strived always to be a better man—qualities that those who knew him recognized and admired. When he saw the slogan Make a better man Better through Masonry, He knew that was his calling. Unfortunately with his health he was not able to attend many meetings. Which he felt very bad about. As he did so enjoy the brotherhood.

Tony had many passions outside of work and service. He loved woodworking—a craft that allowed him to create with care and precision—and was an avid ham radio operator who enjoyed connecting with others across distances both near and far. He loved and was passionate about his Dogs and loved them taking them for rides on his scooter around the neighborhood and post office, and visiting friends around the neighborhood. . The girls loved going with him.
Tony insisted that his body go to science so he can help others like himself.

He is survived by his beloved wife Candy; of 17 years, and three half-sisters: Liz, Gertrude, and Terry; and many friends whose lives were touched by his kindness and humor. He was preceded in death by his brother and father.

Tony will be remembered as an honorable man of faith with strong values and a joyful spirit. A loving husband with a playful sense of humor—a true "kidder"—he cherished home above all else. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire those who carry forward the legacy of love and integrity he leaves behind.
