Anthony Paul Loring, 60, passed away on March 17, 2026, surrounded by love, leaving behind a wake that will never settle and a legacy that will never fade. To those who knew him, Captain Tony wasn’t just a man—he was a force, a steady hand on the helm, and a legend in every sense of the word.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Kate Hutchinson, who stood beside him through every tide, and his beloved son, Kai Loring, who was the truest compass of his heart. He also leaves behind Kai’s mother, Renee Ambron, with whom he shared the enduring bond of raising their son.
Captain Tony is lovingly remembered by his mother, Pam Serrano, and his father, Chip Loring, who was a father in every way that mattered. He is survived by his brother, Brett Loring, and his sister, Renee Loring, who knew him not only as family, but as someone larger than life.
His circle extended far beyond blood. Captain Tony shared special, lasting bonds with Allen and Debra Hobbs, who have been extremely supportive in every way, Doc McGee, Butch Martin, Lisa Anastasia Reisman, and Captain Bob Kimball—relationships that began on the water and grew into something far deeper.
He was equally surrounded by a wide circle of loyal and deeply valued friends, who stood with him through calm seas and rough waters alike. To all of them, he was chosen family—a protector, a storyteller, and someone you could always count on when it mattered most.
Captain Tony lived boldly and unapologetically. He carried the kind of presence you don’t forget—the kind that fills a room, steadies a storm, and leaves people better than he found them. Whether at the helm or among friends, he led with strength, humor, and a heart that ran deeper than the ocean itself.
He was a captain in more ways than one—not just of vessels, but of people, of moments, of life. He taught those around him how to weather storms, how to stand strong, and how to keep going even when the waters were rough.
Though Captain Tony has sailed beyond the horizon, his spirit remains in every story told, every laugh shared, and every life he touched. His legend will live on—in the tides, in the wind, and in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him.
Fair winds and following seas, Captain Tony. You will always be the captain.
