Send Flowers
With deep sorrow and unwavering faith, we share the passing of Anthony James Whitmarsh, who went home to Jesus on December 1, 2025. Born on December 7, 1996, Anthony was the first-born grandson on both sides of his family, a role that placed him at the center of many hearts from the very beginning. His presence was steady, loyal, and fiercely loved by all who knew him.

Anthony is survived by his mother, Danee Bookout; his father, Chris Whitmarsh; his sister and brother-in-law, Krizana and Julio C. Orozco; and his beloved nephews, Vincent "AJ" Orozco and Kriztopher E. Orozco, who were the joy and pride of his life. He also leaves his grandmothers, Bobbi Beamer and Brenda Salcedo; his girlfriend, JoAnn Donovan; and numerous extended family members and lifelong friends who cherished him deeply.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Alvin Bookout and Peter Salcedo Jr.

Anthony lived with a rare sincerity that touched everyone around him. He was always authentically himself and never pretended to be anything other than who God made him to be. He did things in his own way, carried a quiet and caring spirit, and offered help without hesitation. His work ethic was unwavering and his loyalty ran deep. Although reserved in public, those closest to him knew the playful, goofy humor he kept behind closed doors. His love for his nephews was limitless, and he poured himself into their lives with joy and devotion.

Most of all, Anthony's heart belonged to Jesus. His faith guided his steps, shaped his compassion, and carried him through life with strength and purpose. Even in grief, we cling to the promise that "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). While his departure leaves a profound ache, we take comfort in knowing he is now held in the eternal peace and love of Christ.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 20th at 2:00 p.m. at Unity Church, 2060 Badger Road, North Pole, Alaska. A potluck fellowship will follow downstairs at 3:30 p.m. All who loved Anthony are welcome to come share memories, stories, and the enduring light he leaves behind.

We rest in the words of Jesus: "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die" (John 11:25). Anthony believed, fully and truly. And as we release him to God's care, we trust the promise that "God will wipe every tear from their eyes" (Revelation 21:4).
