Antoinette "Toni" Lucchesi, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Sparks, Nevada, December 25, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Toni was born February 1, 1937, in Okeene, Oklahoma, to George Aloysius Pfaff and Catherine Pauline Marshik. Toni graduated from Okeene High School in May 1955. She then moved to the Empire-Gerlach area where she met the love of her life, Joseph (Joe) Lucchesi. The two were married on February 5, 1956, and enjoyed 62 years of life together.
Together they owned and operated a bar, restaurant, and sporting goods business (Nite Cap and Desert Club) in Gerlach, Nevada, and when they moved to Reno in 1966 became the owners/operators of the Reno-Gerlach Stage Line. Toni's greatest joy was creating a safe and beautiful home for her family. Her selfless devotion extended beyond her husband, children, and grandchildren. She also provided loving care to her mother, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law until their deaths. She was a devout Catholic, had a kind nature, and listened without judgement.
She was a talented seamstress, excellent cook, and avid fan of the San Francisco Giants and Golden State Warriors. She enjoyed listening to country music, working her daily crossword puzzles, watching soap operas, game shows, Hallmark movies, and golf. Toni will forever remain in the hearts of her loving family and those who had the opportunity to know her.
Toni was preceded in death by her husband (Joe) of 62 years, parents, and her seven siblings (Irene, Eugene, Leonard, Helen, Joseph, John Robert, and Frank). She is survived by her three daughters; Paula Lucchesi and Gina (Bob) Hall of Washoe Valley, Nevada; and Jody (Jim) Fitzpatrick of Sparks, Nevada; seven grandchildren (Cami, Devon, Carolyn, Megan, Katy, Matt, and Skyler), ten great-grandchildren (with an eleventh arriving April 2026), and nieces and nephews in Nevada, Colorado, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Renown Hospice, and especially Kim Koenig, for the loving care they provided Toni in her last months.
Funeral mass will be January 17, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 1250 Wyoming Avenue, Reno, Nevada. Graveside inurnment will follow mass at Mountain View Cemetery, 435 Stoker Avenue, Reno, Nevada.
