Armando Rivas

Armando Martinez Rivas, 74, passed away on March 21, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. Born on July 20, 1951, in Dallas, Texas, Armando spent his life in the city he called home.

Armando was a devoted father to his three daughters: Monica Nira, Amanda Perez, and Ann Rios. He was also a proud grandfather to three grandchildren and a great-grandfather to two great-grandchildren. His family brought him immense joy and were a central part of his life. Armando is also survived by his siblings: sisters; Pilar Flores and Teresa Gracia, and brothers; Antonio Rivas and Pete Martinez. He was predeceased by his parents, Ray Rivas and Seferina Martinez; his sister Reyes Medellin; his brother Andrew Martinez and his grandparents.

Mando had a passion for sports and fishing. Whether cheering on his favorite teams or enjoying peaceful moments by the water with a fishing rod in hand, these activities brought him happiness throughout his life.

A Mass will be held on April 21, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery @ the North Chapel 3235 Lombardy Ln. Dallas, Tx 75220- Followed by Interment @ 2:00 PM.
