Aspen Elise Peterson-Armengol, age 6, was called home on March 3, 2026, to become one of God’s angels. Born on March 14, 2019, Aspen filled every room she entered with light, laughter, and love in her all-too-brief time with us.
Aspen was a little girl with a big spirit. She loved her animals, singing, listening to audiobooks, chocolate mousse, and baking just about anything. She had a contagious joy about her—a warmth that drew people in and left an impression on everyone lucky enough to know her.
Aspen is survived by her devoted father, Jason Armengol of Jacksonville, FL; her mother Kiersten Peterson; her brother, Jasper; her loving grandparents, Joaquin and Maria Armengol; her aunt, Cecily Armengol; her great-grandparents Ada and Osvaldo Leon, Joaquin and Eugenia Armengol. She is also deeply missed by countless extended family members and friends whose lives she touched.
Though her time here was far too short, Aspen’s light will never dim in the hearts of those who loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Roc Solid Foundation, an organization close to Aspen’s heart. Donations can be made in Aspen’s memory at rocsolidfoundation.org.
