Surrounded by her family, Barbara Danos Artigue passed away in Atlanta, Georgia, on January 27, 2026, at the age of 84. Born in Harvey, Louisiana on July 8,1941 to Paul and Claudia Danos, Barbara attended West Jefferson High School and the Soule Business College. She worked as a secretary at Pan American Corporation (later Amoco) in New Orleans, where she met and, in 1965, married her life-long companion and best friend, Wade "Jerry" Artigue. Jerry and Barbara moved to Lafayette, Louisiana in 1966, where they raised their three sons. From marriage until moving to Atlanta in 2020, Barbara was deeply involved in Lafayette's oil industry, in the oil field community, and in the lives of family and friends.

Barbara's life centered around an extraordinarily tight-knit extended family of over 85 people, annual holiday gatherings, and "the Good Stuff" that they shared on the beaches of the Gulf Coast for over 40 years. She loved loud conversations, louder laughter, Louisiana foods, and the right kind of French bread. She had the "gift of gab" and loved to give advice while rocking in her chair and talking on the phone. With her family, her friends, and her husband, Jerry, she confided, cooked, traveled, fished, lived, laughed, and loved life. She will be greatly missed by so many!

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jerry; her children: Paul Wade Artigue, Andrew David Artigue (Tracey), and Bradley James Artigue (Jennifer); her six grandchildren: David, Julia, Sophia, Alex, Brooks, and Giles; two great grandchildren; her brother, Paul Danos (Mary Ellen); her brother-in-law, Joseph Farizo; her sister-in-law, Teresa Van Vleet-Danos, and numerous nieces and nephews who knew her as "Aunt BeeB". She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Janet Farizo; her sister and brother-in-law, Melva and Salvador Barcelona; her brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and JoAnn Danos; and her brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Nora Danos.
