Barbara Lynne Kingzett Brown

January 15, 1939 - November 30, 2025

Beloved mother of Susan Brown Callari; mother-in-law of Franco Callari; cherished grandmother of Luca and Giorgia; and dear sister of Gwenn Kingzett Sprafka. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chandler and Florence (Noble) Kingzett, and her stepmother, Edie Buck Kingzett.

Barbara was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 15, 1939. A proud graduate of Brush High School (1956) and Miami University (1960), Barbara began her career as a teacher, which took her overseas to Frankfurt, Germany and Okinawa, Japan, experiences she always cherished. During her years abroad, she also traveled extensively, creating memories that she carried with her throughout her life.

After returning back home, she continued teaching for a time before beginning a long and rewarding career in real estate, where she made many lifelong friends. In later years, she worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce collecting census data, a role she remained dedicated to well into her later life.

Barbara embraced life with energy and curiosity. She was a lifelong skier, a loyal Cleveland Indians fan, and a devoted bridge player who eventually took her game online, playing daily. She will be remembered for her charm, directness, humor, and the deep affection she held for her family, friends, and beloved cats. Many who knew her described her as "one of a kind."

A celebration of Barbara's life will be held soon, details will follow.
