Barbara Marcella Hendricks

Barbara Hendricks (nee Prince) passed away peacefully with family by her side March 30, 2026 in Greenville, SC. Ms. Hendricks had been living with her daughter, Denise Grant and her son-in-law, David Grant for 4 years after leaving her beloved St. Petersburg, FL where she was a long time resident. Born September 13, 1941 in Knoxville, Tennessee during World War 2 and raised in a time when America was at one of its most hopeful periods, she later moved to Chicago,Illinois where she worked to put herself through high school at a Catholic all girls school and later joined the swim team.

Barbara had a long professional career and once retired, she loved to go to the beach, garden and visit with her friends and family, often with a large glass of cold sweet tea in hand.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret Prince, brothers Gary and Richard Prince, and grandson Cotee Slife. She is survived by her three children: Robert Marzullo (Kimberly) of San Diego, CA; Denise Grant (David) of Greenville, SC and Michael Medlin of Florida along with cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be missed.
