Barbara Maniloff

Barbara Maniloff, 87, of Northbrook, Illinois, passed away on 11/19/2025.

Born on 06/24/1938 in Chicago, Illinois to Frederick and Faye Ovitz, Barbara grew up in a home rooted strongly in Jewish culture. She carried that love for her Jewish heritage throughout her life and cared deeply for the State of Israel.

Barbara was known for her kindness, warmth, generosity, and dedication to family. She cherished time spent with friends and family, and enjoyed writing poetry and playing mahjong. Her presence was a source of strength and comfort to those who knew her.

She is survived by her dear sister Joyce Less, children Leland Maniloff and Ellen Griffith, and grandchildren Mason (Abbey) Maniloff and Cassidy Griffith.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center https://www.ilholocaustmuseum.org.
