Barbara "Barb" Ann (Bishop) McCracken, 84, of Las Vegas, NV passed away on January 28, 2026.
Born January 2, 1942 in St. Louis, MO to Alan & Harriette (Taylor) Bishop.
Barb attended college at Michigan State University where she earned a degree in English. She wed James "Jim" Richard McCracken in 1968 and had one son.
She spent her life in various locales including Chicago, Detroit, New York, Weirton, WV, Hot Springs Village, AR, and, lastly, in Las Vegas where she was an active member of PEO International and enjoyed volunteering with The Assistance League of Las Vegas.
She is survived by her son, James (Ariane) McCracken of Las Vegas and their 2 children, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers James Bishop and Allen Bishop, as well as her beloved dog Tanya and cat Ebony.
In her final act of generosity, she requested her remains be donated to research. No memorial service is pending.
