Barbara Ann McDiffitt (Evans)

Barbara Ann (Evans) McDiffitt, aged 77, passed away on February 5, 2026, in Sebring, FL. Born on July 25, 1948, Barbara was known for her vibrant, friendly personality and her ability to engage with anyone through her gift of gab. Throughout her life, Barbara was an avid game player, enjoying cards, board games, and online challenges, which were only matched by her love for storytelling, sharing tales of family and personal experiences.
Barbara's youthful years included volunteering as a candy striper, setting the stage for a life marked by service to others. Her professional journey included significant time at North Electric in Galion, Ohio, and later, she devoted much of her career to the retail sector, working in various capacities from pharmacies to clothing retailers.
A devout believer in her faith, Barbara attended various churches, depending on her residence at the time, always maintaining her belief in God and Jesus for her salvation. Her hobbies included collecting recipes and enjoying the company of animals, particularly her beloved Yorkie, Jojo. Barbara cherished the time spent conversing and being with friends, a testament to her outgoing nature.
Barbara is survived by her loving family, including her sons Benjamin Chubb and Andrew McDiffitt; daughter-in-laws Stacey Chubb and Dawn McDiffitt; grandchildren Kirsty, Kyle, Lindsey, Brittany, Elijah, Aleigha, and Hunter; great-grandchildren Matthew, Aiden, Lucas, Layla, William, Gage, Hailey, Grayson, Eliana, and Alicia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Green and Connie Brown Evans.
Barbara's final resting will take place at Iberia Ohio Cemetery this summer. In memory of Barbara's love for animals, contributions can be made to your local humane society, supporting the care and hope for many animals and people, a cause close to her heart.
