Barbara Jean "Bobbie" (Flinner) Reisinger, 91, slipped peacefully through the veil and into the arms of Jesus on December 27, 2025, at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Born on March 5, 1934, in Bridgewater, Pennsylvania, Bobbie lived a life marked by deep faith, boundless love for others, and an unwavering commitment to service. Her latter years were spent with her husband and friends at Country Meadows in Mechanicsburg, PA.
A devoted Christian throughout her life, Bobbie's faith was the cornerstone of her identity. She participated weekly in Bible studies and was known as a steadfast prayer warrior for her family and friends. Her heart for hospitality was evident in everything she did from hosting Vacation Bible School on her front porch for neighborhood kids, to opening her home and heart to four foster children, and hosting many missionaries when they were on furlough. She taught her own children—and many of their friends—the value of serving others with open hearts and hard work.
Bobbie shared 63 years of marriage with her husband, Bob, who preceded her in death. Together they built a loving home filled with music, laughter, and the aroma of her legendary baked goods. A wonderful self-taught cook and baker, Bobbie had a gift for making everyone feel welcome at her table. Her kitchen was often filled with the sounds of old Christian hymns and big band music, two genres she especially loved.
She was the proud mother of Paul (deceased) and Sue, mother-in-law to Ann and Mel (deceased), cherished Nana to grandsons, Jordan and Lance, and great-grandmother to one boy and three girls who brought immense joy to her later years. Her nurturing spirit extended far beyond family; she cared deeply for friends and neighbors alike and was known as a friend to the friendless.
Bobbie's talents were many: she could type at the speed of light; she loved sewing with her longtime friend Bonnie; she delighted in jigsaw puzzles; and she had a beautiful singing voice that often accompanied her piano playing. She also had a playful side—her great sense of humor made her a beloved prankster among those who knew her best.
She took pride in every aspect of life—always neatly dressed and groomed, even at 91. Her love for animals, children, the ocean, and good fun made her presence both comforting and vibrant. Whether it was cheering someone up or offering a listening ear, Bobbie always focused on the needs of others before herself.
In addition to her husband, Bob, and son, Paul, Bobbie was preceded in death by her brothers Lyle, Harry, Bob; sisters Marguerite and Miriam; and son-in-law Mel.
Her legacy lives on through Sue, Ann, Jordan, Lance, four great-grandchildren, countless friends whose lives she touched through kindness and prayer—and all those who were blessed by her sweet nature, generous heart and fearless spirit (especially on the Drop Zone at Kings Dominion!).
Never one for public attention, her cremains will be privately added to her husband's niche at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
