In Loving Memory of Belen Gándara Perez

Belen Gándara Perez, a longtime resident of San Pedro, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, at the age of 92. Born in Orange County, California, Belen lived a life devoted to faith, family, and loving compassion.

She is now reunited in heaven with her husband, Salvador “Soder” Perez; her son, Steven; and many cherished family members and friends who went before her.

Belen was a devoted member of Christ Lutheran Church in Rancho Palos Verdes and a longtime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Wilmington, reflecting her lifelong commitment to service, fellowship, and community. Her gentle spirit, unwavering strength, and deep love touched all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters Alice, Doreen, Sarah, Rebecca, and Celeste. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was also a treasured sister, aunt, cousin, and a loyal friend and confidant to many.

She will be remembered with love and gratitude by all who knew her.

Belen will be cremated and honored with a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., at Christ Lutheran Church in Rancho Palos Verdes, with a reception immediately following. Family and friends will gather to offer prayers, share memories, and celebrate Belen and the beautiful life she lived.
