Belva Jackson

1948 - 2026

Belva Louise Clamp Jackson, 77, of Sebring, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026. Born on September 13, 1948, in Timmonsville, South Carolina, she was the cherished daughter of Lafaye and Margaret Clamp.

Belva grew up on the family farm in Timmonsville, where her early years were filled with the values of hard work and close-knit family bonds. She graduated from Timmonsville High School in 1966 and was a proud finalist in the Miss Timmonsville beauty contest. Her faith was nurtured at Peniel Baptist Church, where she attended services with her family during her formative years.

In 1968, Belva married the love of her life, Pat Jackson. Together they built a beautiful life over their 58 years of marriage. After their marriage they moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where they resided for many years while raising their family. Belva's greatest joy came from her family. She was a devoted mother to her daughters Ami Jackson (Stein), Tammy Jackson, and step-daughter, Susan Jackson, and a doting grandmother to Nathan, Ryan, Reagan, and Lelan. Her sisters Carol Clamp, Sandra Clamp (Hux), and Marsha Clamp (Prince) held a special place in her heart as well.

Belva was preceded in death by her beloved parents Lafaye and Margaret Clamp and her dear sisters Camille and Faye. Despite these losses, she remained the steadfast heart of her family—a source of strength and unconditional love for all who knew her.

Known for her warmth and hospitality, Belva had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel welcome. Her home was often filled with laughter and the irresistible aroma of southern cooking. Her fried chicken, potato salad, and macaroni and cheese were legendary staples at family gatherings—meals that brought loved ones together around the table to share stories and create lasting memories.

Belva's life was a masterclass in compassion. She consistently put others before herself, embodying kindness in every interaction. Spending time with family brought her immense joy; it was during these moments that she felt most fulfilled.

Belva Louise Clamp Jackson will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and selflessness will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

May her memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice may be made in her honor.
