Bennie Bartolini, age 76, of Frederick, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home on March 25, 2026. He was born on November 10, 1949, in Chicago Heights, Illinois. From an early age, Bennie cherished time spent with his large extended Italian family, creating countless memories that remained close to his heart throughout his life.
Bennie proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant during the Vietnam War, carrying that same sense of dedication, strength, and pride with him in all that he did.
He was known for his quick wit, warm personality, and deep love of baseball—especially his beloved Chicago White Sox. Bennie was a talented dancer and an avid bowler who brought joy and laughter wherever he went. He had a special love for oldies music, and nothing made him happier than singing along to his favorite songs and sharing them with others.
Bennie also had a passion for classic films and vintage projectors, often bringing people together by hosting backyard movie nights for family and friends. Cooking, especially making homemade pizza, was one of his love languages. He found great joy in hosting holiday gatherings filled with delicious food, games, and abundant laughter.
Above all, Bennie's greatest treasure was his family. He deeply valued the people he loved and took immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories with them. He was a devoted son, brother, father, uncle, and grandfather—not only to his family by blood, but also to the many he welcomed as chosen family.
Bennie believed in living life fully, always remaining curious, open to new experiences, and ready to share a laugh. His vibrant spirit and joyful outlook were evident to all who knew him.
He is lovingly survived by his daughter, Helen; his son-in-law, Dan; his grandsons, Max and Dominic; his sister, Mary Jo, and her husband, Mike; his nephews, Greg (Natalie) and Kyle (Jordan and Avery); and his cherished chosen family members: Roelyn (Jeremy, Lane, Maverick), Teresa (Don, Matthew, Cameron), and Tracy (Lori, Ashley, David). He is also survived by his devoted caregiver, friend, and companion, Nina, who was a source of comfort and support for many years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen; his father, Dominic; and his brother, Frank.
Bennie will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his laughter, his kindness, and his one-of-a-kind sense of humor that remained with him until the very end.
In loving remembrance, a service for Bennie will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 11:15 a.m. A memorial luncheon will follow, offering time to gather and share memories; details will be provided at the service.
