Betty Jean Chrissonberry, age 70, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on February 17, 2026, due to complications from West Nile Virus. She was born on July 5, 1955, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Elbert Monroe (Sr.) and Ruby Pearl Taylor.
Betty enjoyed many passions, such as cooking, shopping, journaling, and reading. During her later years, she worked as a CNA, dedicating her time up until retirement to caring for individuals who were unable to care for themselves.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Elbert "Sonny" Taylor, Billy Taylor, Raymond Taylor, and Johnnie Taylor; and her three sisters, Myrtle Kathrine Taylor, Ruby St. John, and Phyllis Rhoden.
She was the beloved Matriarch of her family, serving as the heart and anchor that held us together. Her legacy will live on through the affection, nurturing, and occasional opinions she shared with us over the years.
Betty is survived by her husband of 53 years, Tommy Chrissonberry Jr.; her daughter, Shonda Chrissonberry; two sons, Trece Chrissonberry and Todd Chrissonberry (with wife Amber); three grandchildren, Taylor, Dora Jean, and Lyla; two great-grandchildren; as well as two cherished pets, Shaggy and Sugarfoot. She also leaves behind numerous extended family members, friends, and loved ones.
There will be no service at this time. Momma fought long and hard over several months. We are in awe of her strength, perseverance, and love for us. She has found peace. To honor her memory, donations toward her medical expenses are welcome, appreciated, and may be given to her family.
