Betty Nadine Oglesby (née Yoder), 87, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026. Born on August 23, 1938, in Yoder, Kansas, Betty was the cherished daughter of Joe and Ida (Bontrager) Yoder and grew up with a strong foundation of faith and love.

On December 20, 1958, Betty married the love of her life, Wesley Oglesby. Their union of 67 years was a testament to unwavering devotion and friendship. Together, they built a life filled with love, shared memories, and a bond that remained steadfast through every season. Wesley survives her, holding close the many treasured moments they shared.

Betty’s life was defined by her deep faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and her genuine love for people. She had an extraordinary ability to make everyone she encountered feel seen, valued, and cherished. Her warm smile lit up every room she entered, drawing people to her with a magnetic kindness that left a lasting impression. For over 40 years, Betty faithfully taught Sunday School, sharing the gospel with tenderness and devotion. Her lessons—both in words and actions—touched countless lives and continue to resonate in the hearts of those she guided.

Betty is survived by her loving husband, Wesley; her sisters Susie Barron and Bonnie McKee; her three children: Lisa (John) Harnish, Greg (Tricia) Oglesby, and Tim Oglesby; her grandchildren: Josh (Denise) Oglesby, Tiffany (Trent) Blackburn, Grant (Melissa) Oglesby, Lindsay (Chris) Phillips, Leah (Brandon) Davis, and Chase (Sarah) Oglesby; and her great-grandchildren: Gwen Oglesby, Caleb Vejil, Jeriah Vejil, Alexas Oglesby, Riley Oglesby, Cannon Oglesby, Kylie Phillips, Blake Phillips, Wyatt Phillips, Andrew Davis, Axel Davis, Archer Davis, Azariah Davis, and Connor Oglesby.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Ida Yoder and her younger brother Duane Yoder.

Betty will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her kindness knew no bounds; her listening heart brought comfort to many; and her Christ-like compassion inspired all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of faithfulness and love that will be deeply missed but forever treasured.

A memorial service will be held by the family to honor Betty’s remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of service in Betty’s memory as a way to reflect the compassion and generosity with which she lived.
