Betty Jean Rudolph, aged 99, passed away on April 10, 2026, in East Lansing, MI. Born on August 28, 1926, Betty lived a life marked by kindness and a gentle disposition, traits that endeared her to many.
Throughout her career, Betty served as a waitress at the Holiday Inn Hotel, where she was known for her friendly and attentive service. Her quiet and shy nature never overshadowed her ability to make guests feel welcomed and valued.
Betty was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, forming a community that supported her throughout her life.
Her personal interests included puzzles, reading, and playing cards. These hobbies brought her joy and relaxation, and she cherished the moments spent engaging in these activities with her friends and family.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Linda Rudolph; sons, Terry Rudolph and Greg Rudolph; grandchildren, Paula (Scott) Ludwig, Randy Rudolph, Kelly (Kevin) Taylor, Ephraim Rudolph, Kyle Rudolph, Jeffrey (Stefanie) Grolle-Rudolph, and Ken Rudolph; great-grandchildren, Dillon, Sheree, Morgan Flynt, Zoey, Harper, Lincoln, and Maddison: and great-great-grandchildren, Zachary and Charles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wanda (Harry) White and Maurice McEndarffer; in-laws, Herman Rudolph and Leah (Keith) Price; husband, Herman Rudolph; and son, Larry Rudolph.
A service to honor Betty's life will be held on April 24th, 2026, at 10am at DeepDale Memorial Gardens Chapel in Lansing, MI.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Betty's memory. Her legacy of warmth, kindness, and her quiet strength will be remembered by all who knew her.
