Beverly Mary Burton LaMartina, age 99, of Kansas City, Missouri, died peacefully at home of natural causes on Feb. 12, 2026.

Beverly was born in Kansas City on July 28, 1926, to Marion Pauline Giudici Burton and Clyde Victor Burton.

Beverly was a lifelong Catholic. She graduated from St. Stephen's Catholic Grade School and Glennon High School, both in Kansas City.

She worked during high school at the Kansas City Monument Co., owned and operated by the Giudici family, and later worked there as a secretary.

She started studying piano as a young girl and played throughout her life until a few months before her death.

Beverly and Salvatore "Sam" Edmond LaMartina of St. Louis were married at St. Stephen's Catholic Church on Oct. 12, 1946. Sam died on Feb. 9, 1986. They were married for 39 years and had nine children.

Beverly devoted her life to God, to Sam, to her children and to other family members. She gave steadfast love, guidance, encouragement and inspiration to her children and to all who knew her.

She was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Marion Sue LaMartina; her son, Thomas Michael LaMartina; her grandson, Michael Louis Brostoski; her parents; and her sister, Marilyn Louise Burton Beck.

Survivors include her brother, Clyde Victor Burton (Winnie); daughter RoseAnn LaMartina Brostoski (Bob); daughter-in-law Maria Meli; sons Joseph Patrick LaMartina (Lelahni), Victor Edmond LaMartina, Timothy James LaMartina (Karen), Sam Salvatore Paul LaMartina (Karen), John Christopher LaMartina and Jerome Francis LaMartina; 10 grandchildren: Gregory Robert Brostoski (Isidra), Joseph Vladimir LaMartina (Jennifer), Vincent Thomas LaMartina, Delena Strayrabin, David Joseph LaMartina (Danielle), Julia Rose LaMartina (Zain Ali), Katelyn Raquel LaMartina, Nicole Rose LaMartina, Gianfranco Salvatore LaMartina and Hope Anne LaMartina; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; two nieces; and three nephews.

A Catholic memorial Mass and reception will be in the spring. Beverly donated her body to Kansas City University's College of Osteopathic Medicine.

The family suggests donations to Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph or the Environmental Defense Fund.

The family would like to thank the management and staff of St. Anthony's Senior Living for their loving, devoted care for Beverly.
