Beverly Moats

Beverly Ann Moats, 84, passed away on February 28, 2026, in Antioch, California. Born on October 28, 1941, in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada, Beverly lived a remarkable life filled with adventure, dedication, and love.

Beverly graduated from Holy Angels High School in Sydney, Nova Scotia, and went on to earn her degree from Saint Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Her passion for education and service led her to join CUSO (Canadian University Service Overseas), where she worked in Rajasthan, India. This experience marked the beginning of a lifelong commitment to teaching and caregiving that spanned the globe.

Throughout her career, Beverly touched many lives as a teacher and caregiver in America, Canada, England, Libya, India, Indonesia, and Abu Dhabi. She brought vibrance and energy to every community she served. Beverly had an extraordinary ability to make others feel valued and uplifted.

Beverly's life was forever changed by loss, including her beloved husband of fifty years, Vernon Dee Moats; her daughters Paulina Rahaju and Rachel Susan. She is survived by her son Conan; daughter-in-law Gina; grandsons Oscar, Theodore, and Emory; and her brothers Ronald and Joseph.

With a rare gift for making others feel good about themselves and the world, Beverly left many feeling better for having known her. Her legacy is one of adventure, resilience, and an infectious love of life.
