In her early years, Bobby enjoyed writing poetry and playing the violin. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing delicious southern meals for her family, exploring new recipes, baking, reading all types of books, and loving on her precious pets including dogs, cats, birds, a few special chickens and even a small pet pig! Bobby enjoyed coming up with and participating in creative activities with children, and all were welcomed in her home. She loved to preserve fresh grown foods from their garden through pressure cooking, otherwise known as canning. She created all kinds of fresh food recipes including some that were delicious, yet unusual. One that was of special favor was the Corn Cob Jelly she made. She said you could make Jelly out of just about anything!
Bobby also loved working with others. In fact, she often held a private (free) class at her home to help several co-workers pass the needed journeyman exam to move forward in their profession. She was patient, funny and engaging while conducting these sessions at her dining room table and was known for her contributions as several admired her and sought her guidance throughout those years.
Bobby was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Throughout her life, Bobby had a close connection with her younger sisters. In her later years, Bobby lived with her son and his wife who cared for her. Bobby’s faith grew during that period and allowed her to spread her beliefs of Jehovah God’s promise. She will be greatly missed.
