Bonnie Clark Lytle, 83 passed away peacefully March 15, 2026.
She was born November 8th, 1942 in Holyoke, MA. She is survived by her husband Frank Lytle of The Villages, FL, her children Jim Clark (Claire) of Huntersville NC, Laurie McCorry (Dave) of Downingtown, PA, and Todd Clark (Susanne) of Simpsonville SC. She was the very proud grandmother of 3 grandchildren Caroline Clark, Lucas Clark and Collin Clark. Bonnie is also survived by her sisters Carol Beeler of New Albany, OH and Kathy Sketchley of Mesa, Arizona and nieces and nephews.
Bonnie worked for Marsh McClennan for several years and became well versed insurance law for New York State.
Bonnie had both an undergraduate degree as well as a master’s degree in early childhood education.
She worked many years at The Harley School in Rochester.
Bonnie acted as a principal at the Downingtown Lutheran Church for two years.
She worked for Nobel Learning Communities in the Philadelphia area. In her position there she set up 4 pre-school and day care centers. Many times, when out shopping or in restaurants, parents would come up and give her a hug because she had provided an early education environment that established a positive learning experience that would affect their children for the rest of their lives.
Her moto was that she would never hurt children and would not let anybody or anything “within her power” to do so.
Bonnie’s joys included flowers, working in the garden and of course the various dogs in her life. She was a very loving grandmother who always attended the significant events, birthdays, games and performances for both her children and especially her grandchildren.
Bonnie passed away with her hands and arms crossed, hair beautiful and with a partial smile on her beautiful face. She seemed to be totally at peace.
She will be vastly missed by everybody. Her smile and contagious laughter will be remembered by all.
Her burial ceremony will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Malone N.Y. on July 18th at 2pm. After the burial, a Celebration of Life will be held at Camp Magnolia on Lake Titus.
