Bonnie Arlene Muir, a devoted wife, mother, sister, and faithful servant of Christ, passed peacefully from this life 7 October 2025. Born in St. Paris, Ohio to Donald and Beulah Miller in 1942, Bonnie was raised in Ray, Arizona, and pursued her education at Arizona State University, earning both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in elementary education. She taught in the public school systems in Texas and Arizona.
In 1972, Bonnie met and married the love of her life, Thomas Lincoln Muir. Together they raised two daughters who each earned doctoral degrees-a source of great pride for Bonnie.
A woman of strong faith, Bonnie dedicated her life to Christian study, ministry, and fellowship. She served faithfully at North Phoenix Baptist Church where she loved singing in the choir, Bible Study Fellowship where her organization and administration skills shined, LifePoint Bible Study, and Gateway Fellowship.
Bonnie is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas; her daughters, Jennifer Bowers and Heather Hendrix; her sons-in-law, Garth Bowers and James Hendrix; her cherished grandchildren, Abigail and Dale, and welcomed a great-grandson shortly before she passed. Bonnie is also survived by her sister, Donna Varela; her brother, Keith Miller; and many loving nieces and nephews.
In view of Thomas' condition, the family will hold a private service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the
Alzheimer's Association in honor of Bonnie's steadfast devotion and compassionate care for Thomas.
Bonnie will be remembered for her dignified grace, quiet strength, endless reading, continual humming of hymns, boundless love of family, and eternal devotion to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
