Brac Selph

Brac Selph, 58, of Mill Valley, California, passed away on February 24, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family. Brac was a deeply thoughtful and compassionate man whose presence shaped the lives of those who knew and loved him.

Brac was a devoted husband to his wife, Daina, and a loving father to his two sons, Braeden and Van, whom he was so proud of. He is also survived by his mother, Ann, and his siblings, Elizabeth, Catherine, and David, along with their families.

Brac served as a United States Marine, an experience that reflected his strength, discipline, and resilience. He later became a psychologist, guided by a lifelong curiosity about the human experience and a deep desire to understand and help others. He valued integrity, fairness, and authentic connection, and had a rare ability to listen without judgment and make others feel truly seen and understood.

Brac was endlessly curious and had a deep love of learning. One of his greatest strengths was his insight and his willingness to do the inner work required to grow and become who he wanted to be. He approached life with an open and inquisitive mind, always seeking meaning, growth, and understanding. He was adventurous and entrepreneurial, unafraid to explore new paths, and brought courage and intention to everything he pursued. He believed human connection was the most important part of life.

One of Brac’s greatest joys was coaching youth sports, particularly football, which he coached for many years at both the youth and high school levels. He touched the lives of many who remember him for his guidance, encouragement, and belief in them, building lasting relationships within his community.

Brac moved through life with quiet strength, generosity, and courage. He was deeply committed to his family and relationships. His legacy lives on in all those whose lives he touched. He will be profoundly missed.

A memorial service honoring Brac’s life will be held on Saturday, May 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Fernwood Cemetery in Mill Valley, California.
