Brenda Jean Aldridge Schaefer

Brenda Jean Aldridge Schaefer, 57, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on November 23, 2025. Born on November 28, 1967, in Kokomo, she was the cherished fifth daughter of Melvin and Pauline Aldridge. She was preceded in death by her father.
Brenda lived a life marked by dedication, compassion, and a genuine love for people. For more than 25 years, she built a distinguished career as a financial advisor in Evansville—a profession she not only excelled in but deeply cherished. Her clients meant the world to her, and she guided many of them through life's milestones with wisdom, patience, and heartfelt care.
Brenda was a proud graduate of Ball State University, earning her bachelor's degree and forging lifelong friendships as a devoted member of Alpha Phi sorority. She was also a 1986 graduate of Snider High School in Fort Wayne.
A committed student of fitness and wellness, Brenda inspired many to pursue healthier lifestyles through daily exercise. Brenda loved and had a big heart for animals and rescued numerous stray dogs and cats, taking in many of them and giving each a wonderful life.
Brenda dedicated many years to volunteering with Junior Achievement and was known for her gracious support of numerous charities throughout the Evansville community.
Among all her accomplishments, Brenda's greatest pride and joy was her daughter, Skylar. The bond they shared was profound, and Brenda took immense pride in watching her grow into a beautiful young woman. She was, without question, a very proud mama.
Brenda is survived by her beloved daughter, Skylar Schaefer; her mother, Pauline Aldridge; and her sisters:

- Beth Wagner (Gary, Milena & Nick)
- Patty Sapp (Mike, Stephanie(Hayley) & Brandt)
- Jackie Parker (Drew & Katie)
- Karen Anderson (Brianna(Tyler), Sam(Lina), & Maddy)
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 10, 2026, at Los Bravos in Evansville, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., where friends and loved ones are invited to honor Brenda's remarkable life.
