Brenda was a special lover of children. She never met a stranger and was always looking for an opportunity to share her love of Jesus.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Robert and Leota Theurer, her sister Susan Renfrow.

Survived by her husband, Andrew (Andy) Sippel, daughter Stephanie Harding (Stan), son Jason Tate, Son Drew Sippel (Tracy), daughter D’Anne Moyes (Mike),
12 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, all of whom she deeply loved and shared many hours with.

She graduated from East High School (1958), then attended Memphis State College where she was an active member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
She was a Dream Girl for PKA, for 2 years, Desota Beauty Queen, and Miss Memphis State in 1962. Brenda graduated in 1962 and then started her teaching career.

Her first teaching assignment was at Richland Elementary in East Memphis.
She taught in a couple of other private schools before she moved to her favorite
School, Christ Methodist Day School. She loved this job because she could freely share her Christian Witness with her young 4th and 5th grade students. She taught for 18 years before retiring from teaching. However, she continued her career as a Teaching Supervisor with the University of Memphis for 3 more years.

She was a loving Grandmother to her 12 grandchildren and 6 Great Grands and loved reading and sharing with them as they were growing up.

As a mother and wife, she loved having friends to her home for social and dinner activities. She was an active Sunday School participant. Her last class was the Amazing Grace SS Class and she looked forward to that each week.

She was always happy when surrounded by close friends, of which she had many.
She would skip a meal if she had friends around to share and fellowship with.

In 2024 she and Andy moved to the Kirby Pines Retirement Community where they were quickly and enthusiastically welcomed. She loved the new friends she met every day, and Brenda and Andy found Kirby Pines a new home to enjoy their later years.

She also loved the Beach where she went each year. Brenda, Andy and 4 other couples planned each summer to meet along the Alabama coast for 2 to 4 weeks to enjoy the beach and each other.

Brenda loved the Lord and was ready to meet Jesus. She died quietly and peacefully with family.

Memorials can be sent to Christ Methodist Day School or Christ Methodist Church Memphis (Missions Fund).
