Brian Raymond Carr

1960 - 2025

Brian Raymond Carr, of West Chester, PA, passed away on November 30, 2025, unexpectedly. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him. Born in Floral Park, NY, Brian moved to West Chester in 1970 and spent the rest of his life in the community he cherished.

Brian was an avid sportsman and a true craftsman—a builder not only of things, but of relationships, memories, and moments that will be treasured forever. Known as a gentle giant, his warm presence and easy smile touched everyone he met. He will be remembered for his kindness to animals, older adults, and people from every walk of life—each of whom felt seen and cared for in his company. Brian gave freely of his time, talent, energy, laughter, and care; it was simply who he was. His huge heart, generous spirit, and bright smile will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of crossing his path. Through it all, Brian remained loving, generous, and soft-hearted.

Brian is lovingly survived by his true love, Meta Ann Donohoe; his children, Austin, Wesley, and Jennifer; and his granddaughter, Brooklyn. He also leaves behind his mother, Audrey Carr, and was preceded in death by his father, the late John Carr. Brian will be deeply missed by his siblings, John (Susan) Carr, Patricia (David) Scarberry, and Allison Weber, as well as his nieces, Erin (Michael) Mormile, Lauren (David) Gracia, and Amanda (Kevin) Leslie, and his nephew, Gavin Weber.

A Mass of Remembrance will be held on Friday, December 12, at 12:00 PM at Saints Peter and Paul Church, West Chester, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Brian's name may be made to the Brandywine Valley SPCA - West Chester, PA.
