Brian Leon Ishmon

Brian Leon Ishmon, 48, of Gary, Indiana, passed away on November 21, 2025. A lifelong resident of Gary, Brian was the beloved son of Dan L. Ishmon and Shirley A. Ishmon. He attended Bishop Noll Institute and Vincennes University and built a dedicated career as a Catering Manager with Panera Bread.
Brian was a devoted Chicago Bears and Bulls fan, an avid science fiction reader, and a lifelong Marvel enthusiast. He was also an excellent marksman and enjoyed collecting weaponry. Known for his humor, intelligence, calm spirit, and kindness, Brian was often the voice of reason and had a special love for children.
He leaves to cherish his memory his fiancée, Yohanna Minier; his children, Emaun Ishmon, Brian Ishmon Jr., and Marquis; his parents, Shirley Ishmon and Dan (Jean) Ishmon; his siblings, Nicole Ishmon Brown, Roselyn Ishmon, Aaron Ishmon, Jeffrey Ishmon, Desiree Ross, Danielle Pryor, and Marc Pryor; his best friends, Damion Hatten, Shanna Modisette, Angelo Toppin, and Lloyd Tucker; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
